About Chrissy

Chrissy has been printmaking for over twenty years and produces contemporary etchings using traditional techniques. She also experiments with carborundum and monotype prints when looking for larger, less detailed work.

Her inspiration comes from the natural world, looking for patterns in the landscape defined by light, shadows and season often looking to crop an image to provide negative shapes.

Chrissy is particularly known for her coloured etchings and aquatints where different coloured inks meet on one plate to give a blended effect. Each etching is hand inked and printed on her etching press.

Her work has been purchased for the collections of The Palace of Westminster and also Colchester & Ipswich Museums and her carborundum print was included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2023. She also exhibits in galleries in Norfolk, Cambridge and Suffolk. She has been a member of the printmaking group Sudbourne Park Printmakers since 2006 and is a regular etching tutor at the courses held there.

Chrissy works from her studio close to the Suffolk coast.
